About Me
Hello I’m Sherine, a British, Irish, Syrian, Actress, Writer, Presenter, Producer and Voiceover artist currently living in London.
I was an only child until the age of 11. My family members endowed me as the performing monkey, performing elaborate improvised songs and performances at every event.
I studied at Brunel University and graduated with an honours in Modern Drama Studies. I went on to do a One Year Post Graduate in Acting.
I was so disillusioned by the lack of Arabic female voices in Film, Theatre and TV that I decided to take matters into my own hands and start writing. I want to see stories that represent people from my culture and working class backgrounds. I am passionate about making my own work.
When people tell me I can’t do something, I end up proving them wrong.
A friend suggested I should to make my own work. “Just write a one page monologue” she said … I followed her advice however that one page monologue turned into a 60 minute solo show called “Why so Syrian?” I secured funding at a West End Venue in central London all praise to God.
Following that I wrote another play called "Secrets of da Syrian Sisters" as part of Soho Labs and it got shorted for the Tony Craze Award 2022.
I have just written and produced my first short film which is a proof of concept for my TV series.
God and my spirituality fuels my path in life. Apart from being a Multi passionate Wonder Woman I love coaching clients, working out, learning and trying new things, belly dancing, nature, traveling and exploring this glorious world.
